Funny the way it is

Weird day today, had to trek over to Baltimore for work and then we had this absolute rager rain storm! It was wild. It came out of nowhere, it was gorgeous and sunny & then we heard this noise like a crash or a truck? And it was the rain just coming down in big sheets.

Needless to say, the drive back was way worse- people lose their minds when the weather is bad. It's like everything they know about driving goes out the window.

Anywho, here's an outfit that I haven't actually worn yet but would like to in the near future. It's just different lately since at work I wear dress pants or something professional-ish then usually I just slum it around the house in t-shirts when I get off.

Dress & headband: Urban Outfitters
Belt: mom hand-me-down
Shoes: Steve Madden

These shoes are one of my prouder purchases simply because I got them on the cheapskies. They were less than 20 bucks, so I just had to get them. I have a really bad habit of justifying purchases to myself with the logic that they're so inexpensive. When in reality, it should be about whether I really need them or not... But anyways, I thought I wouldn't wear them very often, but they've turned out to be really useful and I've gotten alot of wear out of them.

Signing out to probably lay in bed and read The Time Traveller's Wife. Hope everyone survived Monday ok!

It all has to start somewhere..

So, recently I've been obsessing over these amazing fashion blogs that I've stumbled upon and I thought I'd give it a whirl.

I'm planning on ordering a tripod so that I can take outfit pictures. But, in the mean time, I thought I'd leave with you some pretty things to look at.

1. This girl is absolutely adorable. Delightfully Tacky is my favorite fashion blog of the moment and she's from Alaska which makes her a double win. I vacationed there two summers ago and have been in love with it ever sense. The air is 43920 times better than it is here. And the views, don't even get me started.

2. these new shoes!! this is my first ever ebay purchase and i have to say it paid off. They were 15 dollars or something ridiculous like that. I can't wait to wear them! I'm just waiting for an occasion that could call for them.
I'm having alot of issues with self-timer.. Also, please ignore the weird scrunchiness of my toes. I was trying to hold my balance-my camera is on a really low shutter speed because I hate flash.

3. This re-vamped house,"a tiny Victorian cottage"- isn't it adorable? Click the link- I promise it's worthwhile :]
