This is a part of my backyard that goes unexplored because it's at the edge of our property and there are alot of rocks, mud, yucky stuff, etc. But, it's really very pretty after you get the hang of maneuvering and picking out the unstable rocks. Two seconds before this photos, I was unceremoniously flinging my body up onto this ledge haha. Self-timer really is the biggest adventure! I almost fell 49320 times and same with my tripod. At least there's never a dull moment!
shirt: gap / silk cami: ann taylor loft / pearl necklace: j.crew outlet / locket: grandma's, family heirloom / belt: mom's, hand-me-down / pink skirt:UO / lace skirt: handmade from petticoat / shoes: keds
Bad tripod set-up, cut out my face in this one- but I think it kind of works?
I like the idea of mixing patterns but haven't been adventurous enough to do something really crazy bold. But, I like this subtle mix- the pinstripe of the shirt becomes secondary to the pattern of the skirt. I think that's the key to pattern mixing- letting one pattern be the dominant one and the others are there to complement it. Or doing pieces in the same family color can work as a harmonizer.
Onward to Tuesday! Hope you had a super day errrbody. :)

i absolutely love this outfit!
lovely blog as well =]
Love this outfit! The little ruffles at the hem of the skirt really makes it a pretty outfit!
Love the shirt tied over top. I tried that earlier this week, and looked like maryanne from gilligan's island. I didn't quite get it right, but it looks amazing on you.
