Pop of Color

IMG_3161

It was a rainy, gray day today. And work dragged on forever & I even left early! I swear to you Excel is the devil. It messes with me just for the fun of it. The rain does have this beauty about it though. Everything looks more interesting when it's covered with little droplets.

Decided to give shooting outside another go. Had a few mishaps along the way- my tripod fell over (see picture on the right!). But luckily it fell into a bush so it wasn't a hard fall. If it had gone the other direction, it would have smashed into the concrete. Oui, I can't even think about that possibility without crying a little on the inside. Self-timer in itself is an adventure, running back and forth- trying to get the focus right and the lighting. I'm sure if someone was watching me they'd think I was crazy.. like my neighbors? haha yikes.

I just bought this skirt the other day at Urban Outfitters. The longer length is really refreshing, most of the skirts I own are minis. Oh and I'd like to apologize for the UO heaviness of the blogging, but I can't help myself! I'm literally a 5 year old in a candy shop. It's dangerous. I walk in and I just tunnel vision straight to the things that catch my eye, no rack goes unexplored. It's kind of like a mini adventure. But anywho, I also really like the vibrant color of it. I don't usually go for things this bright, but I like it with the neutrals. I'm barefoot in the pictures, but I wore it with brown gladiator-ish sandals today (oh, and another battle wound- 2 splinters! ouch). I was all "ohh barefoot will look whimsical"..bad idea, Amelia.
